Why so much education?

Updated: Oct 24, 2021

When I meet new people, one question I commonly receive is "why do you keep going to school, you must love the punishment". WOW, I never viewed education as bad or punishment. In my mind, education is a privilege and I want to learn as much as I can in my short time on this planet.

In other countries, children walk for miles to go to a dingy "classroom" and many can't afford an education, or are prevented from obtaining any due to customary beliefs in the region they reside. Only in our land of excess and luxuries do people take these opportunities for granted.

So here I am, with a bachelors degree (BS), doctor of chiropractic degree (DC), master's degree in business administration (MB), medical degree (MD), and now working towards a second master's in biotechnology at Harvard and master's of public health program (MPH) at Rutgers School of Public Health. Each piece of my education has given me a new perspective and knowledge on how best to delivery healthcare to fellow human in the most efficient, safe, and economical manner while preserving the financial viability for the entity providing the care.

The next step is yet unknown, but I think I will be busy completing these programs for the next 1-2 years and will re-evaluate my options and desires at that time. Until then, keep learning, growing, and developing your mind for the betterment of yourself and the world.
